I wrote my first poem when I was 7 years old and have always wanted to be a writer, but life intruded. In recent years, I have finally followed my passion for writing fiction. My short story, "In Touch with Faith," was published in a CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL book, and my novel, WHISPERS FROM ST. MARY'S WELL, will be available at amazon.com by mid-December 2009. Set in St. Mary's County, Maryland, it is the story of a little girl born in 1851, beneath the veil, predicting her clairvoyance. She witnesses her mother's descent into deep depression and a brutal murder. Virtually orphaned at a young age, she must find a way to raise herself with the help of spiritual allies and a supportive community. As writers, we all know the importance of a supportive community, and WritersCafe appears to be just that!
