Harriet Bogtrotter is a pale, thin and delightful psychiatrist from Ohio. Her life is going nowhere until she meets Boris Blunder, a porky, smart man with a passion for trainspotting.

Harriet takes an instant disliking to Boris and the spiteful and malicious ways he learnt during his years in the seaside.

However, when a monster tries to destroy Harriet, Boris springs to the rescue. Harriet begins to notices that Boris is actually rather popular at heart.

But, the pressures of Boris's job as a gardener leave him blind to Harriet's affections and Harriet takes up socialising to try an distract himself.

Finally, when hungry nurse, Alex Smith, threatens to come between them, Boris has to act fast. But will they ever find the frantic love that they deserve?
