The Shortest Story - 55 Words  January 13, 2009 - February 13, 2009

Ernest Hemingway was challenged once to write the shortest story possible. here is what he wrote:

For sale. baby shoes. Never worn

He considered it amongst his best work.

I challenge you to write a story in 55 words. Easy? Try it. Impossible, you say? Give it a go. This contest has been done before, and a book or two has already been published with some winners and notables. Who knows? Maybe someone will see your story here and offer to publish it.

55 words. No more. No less.

Title and your name does not count in the total.
