About Me

Hi, I'm a former teacher who still has a passion for writing fiction and screenwriting.
I'm a single mom living in Colorado Springs with my gorgeous 12 year old son. He is in the band and he plays the drums and he is so cool and everybody loves him. He'll be in 7th grade next year and he aspires to be a Harvard Grad and eventually a Lawyer.
As far as music goes I like a lil bit of everything except techno, and some country.... alternative and rock are what I like to listen to for the most part and almost every song has a meaning attached to it which reminds me of someone or something that happened in my life whether it be good or bad. It just takes me there.
I love to catch a good movie and if I haven't seen it, it just quite didn't jump out at me. I've taken a few screenwriting courses as well and broke down "The Wizard of Oz'" as well as studied adaptation. The way everything connected across the arts is one of my big attractions to literature and writing.
As far as the tube goes some of my favorite shows are House because his sarcasm is just so good, Prison Break although this next season might flop, they're just dragging it out and it really needs to find its ending. and I also like Law and Order: SVU, CSI: Miami, ER, Making the Band 3, America's Next Top Model, Project Runway. I'm not a big fan of reality shows but I'll watch them if I can't find anything else to watch...
I've read a lot of books but it's been sporatic for a while I liked Alice Sebold's "The Lovely Bones". I like to read books by newer not so prevalent authors but I'll give just about any book a chance, it just has to really get me in the beginning. Oh yeah, just read "Something Borrowed" by Emily Giffen- awesome book> I'm trying to read "Something Blue" but Darcy hasn't grabbed my attention as well as Rachel did, so it's a bit of a struggle, but I'm trying.
