Dipak Basu

Dipak Basu, author of historical novel, A Flight of Green Parrots, is a high-tech executive and founder of three nonprofit companies. In 2013 he released Mission to Teach, the story of his daughter Jhumki, a fearless educator. During the last decade of Jhumki’s life, as her career took off and the battle with cancer was fought, Dipak was her confidant, cheerleader and caregiver. In this role he learned about the state of education in American public schools and of cancer care which provided him with unique insight into Jhumki’s life and work.
