I write because it allows me to shout and scream and weep and rant, and then walk away as though nothing happened, and no one will know. I write because it allows me to clear my head, to pluck everything out of my mind that has been pestering me and to put it into its proper place. I write because it allows me to put everything in perspective, to worry less and to focus more on the things that actually matter. I write because it is a way for me to give a part of myself away. I write because it frees me. I write because it allows me to live my dreams whenever I would like. I write because it allows me to confront my fears. I write to be honest. I write to express hope. I write to try to understand who I am and what I can be. I write to appreciate the amazing things a person’s imagination can create. I write to make others listen. I write to make others speak. I write because I want to be in love all the time. I write because it allows me to truly be myself.
