I've always loved the written word, I've been avidly reading since a very young age and it is still a passion for me. I've started to write in the past few years, mainly poems. I'm still trying to find my voice.

I dislike those who are arrogant or pretentious, I prefer those who are true to themselves instead of those who put on false fronts in order to be liked or admired. I try every day to be better than who I was the day before.

I figured that it's been a while since I shared any personal information so, here are a few facts:
I'm a 48yr old female, mother of 3, daughter, sister, friend, wife.
I work as a substance abuse counselor a job which I love dearly.
I recently (6 months ago) became the proud friend and Mom of a neurotic chihuahua named Chico.
