Poetry Challenge Forum Write about a leaf

I love trees, always have. I've written about them and read under them. I love crunching through a pile of leaves because it reminds me of being a child. When the leaves begin to fall in autumn I will walk out of my way just to step on a dried leaf that is just out of my way. I like the feel of it under foot and the sound it makes as it crunches. So in the spirit of autumn and the approaching season, I challenge you to write about something, so seemingly mundane, as a leaf.   

Here it is! Though it is not as simple and beautiful in nature as I intended...
