Jason Scott Anthony

30 year old biblopphile new to writing. I'm originally from the Tampa Bay areas but have been living in Chicago for 10 years. I have no formal education in writing but have been interested in writing and literature since I was about 14 years old. I've written quite a bit of poetry but that was some years ago and when I read everything I wrote then I hate it. I haven't really shared my writing with anyone other than my wife.
I draw almost strictly from my own life experiences. I admit that the subject matter can be a bit heavy but I try to inject a lot of absurdist humor to make it easier to digest.
Some of my favorite authors are: Pierre Guyotat, Dennis Cooper, Peter Sotos, Tao Lin, Lorrie Moore, Georges Bataille, Maurice Blanchot, Sarah Kane, Lydia Davis, Ann Quinn, Marguerite Duras and Unica Zurn. That's a pretty long list but I don't want to leave anyone out.
