About Me

Marc Dickason studied script writing for film and theatre at AFDA, as well as freelance journalism and professional short story writing at Intec College.

He has been involved in a number of television script writing efforts, including the co-writing of three sitcom pilot episodes which were short listed with the SABC; Phil and Fred, Life as an Ordinary Guy and Harmony. Life as an Ordinary guy later went on to be rewritten by college friend Ryan Metcalfe and made into the South African sitcom Single Guys.

In terms of big screen movies; he has written five complete scripts for a South African production company, three of which were sold immediately to local producer Anton Ernst. One has been shot and is due for release, titled The Little Kings. The other is set for production in 2014, titled The Harlequin Killer. Balance is his first novel in a planned series of three.
