About Me

When I reached 60, I looked at my accomplishments. Okay. I checked my wish list. Fine. I read my bucket list. Too long.
I decided to do some of the things I said I would do when I was younger.
One spring evening, I got up out of my comfy lounger and auditioned in one our local community’s theater acting groups. I'm still acting at 66, and I got my wife to join.
That summer I wrote a novel of my wife's and my vacation to the Cayman Islands, "To Paradise and Back". The misadventures of traveling during an ice storm to the Caribbean and back. It was just for me, as a keepsake of our vacation, to put in a drawer to read years later.
One Christmas Eve, while caring for one of our llamas, I came in and thought... what if all of Santa Claus’s reindeer all too sick to fly. The next morning, my fingers feverishly began rattling the keyboard and lo-and-behold they wrote a novel, "Saving Christmas", the story of how two elves, to children, and to barn animals try to save Christmas.
I was encouraged to join a writer's group. BEST DECISION I EVER MADE!
Since then I written three children's books,(I am looking for an illustrator), a novel about the first one hundred years of a top hat, and I'm finishing up on an historical fiction about a spoiled brat, the coming of age to a son of a trading ship company owner, sailing to Trinidad and back in 1797.
I enjoy writing with humor, Christmas, and books for my two granddaughters.
