Amber Wood

My name is Amber Wood. I am 25 years old. I am a divorced mother of one. I should start school again soon. I am pursuing a BA, majoring in English. I�m not sure what direction that will take me in. My goal is to become a better writer while in school and to learn and expand my mind, but to also end up with a degree that will actually provide me with a career in the end. What I will mostly submit here is poetry. I�m working hard on a few short stories. . .but it�s difficult without a �room of ones own,� if u get what I�m saying. I usually feel like one of those performers that balance a bunch of spinning plates on sticks�I mean, not that I�m succeeding (there�s broken glass all around my feet). In short�I�m trying to learn how to be a good parent, a good friend, a good worker and student and still find time for myself and my writing. Anyway, I stopped writing at all years ago. . .long story behind that. . .and threw everything I had written over the years away. It was several years ago now that I was going to tech school for nursing. My English 101 teacher is the one who got me writing again, and changed the course of my life, really. Anyhow, I�ve really just now gotten back at it, so its all practice.
