About Me

Marci's brain works in unusual ways. She was born and raised in bergen county nj, and with just minutes from nyc, she would use the convenience to her advantage. During her years in high school, she would go to poetry readings and museums for inspiration and creativity. Marci, in her later teens, would then discover the seedy underground of nyc and all it had to offer. Spending time downtown in the east village and submerging herself into the club scene in the latter years of the Limelight and other nyc clubs, she was fascinated by freaks, druggies, drag queens, transvestites, and the like. While in the whirl-wind of nightlife debauchery, Marci gave herself a bit of a problem. But through trying to find herself, and a little professional help, Marci would soon be on her way to a long road of twists and turns, up and downs, laughter and pain. There are no stop signs or red lights on this road, only yields and slow merges. Going through this very tough time, Marci found solace in writers like Allen Ginsberg, Willaim S. Burroughs, Charles Bukowski, Ezra Pound, Jim Carrol, Jack Kerouac etc... She wrote endlessly while on a stint in upstate NY. She then left with dreams of becoming a writer. In college Marci wrote various short stories while she majored in english, but the disenchantment of classes like statistics and chemistry made Marci realize, college was not her calling. Marci is now a stylist and continues to write. She still dreams of writing her memoir and becoming a New York Times best selling author. Marci also, does not care what people think, and is very proud of herself that she had the ability to emerge out of a life that some may consider deadly; but at the same time, regrets nothing. ;)
