Ordinary Joe—the nom de plume of Joseph A. Glynn—was born in Carbondale, Illinois, in 1961. A person who never seems to graduate, Ordinary Joe has a bachelor’s degree in history from Northern Illinois University, a master’s degree in American history from Illinois State University, a master’s degree in library and information science from Indiana University—Bloomington, a paralegal certificate from Roosevelt University, a medical coding certificate from the Jefferson County (Kentucky) Public Schools, and a grant writer certificate from the Grant Writers’ Toolkit.

Ordinary Joe lives in Louisville, Kentucky, with his wife and her parents. He writes for his blog An Ordinary Joe’s Soapbox in his free time. Abandon Your Hopes, Ye Luckless Jobseeker is his first book, and he is in the process of writing a sequel as well as his first novel.
