Reality Continues to Ruin My Life

Reality Continues to Ruin My Life

A Poem by EVERYTHINGyoucantelltoSTRANGERS
"

reality is not what it appears to be... reupload here

"

Card house dreaming,

Wish perceiving

Fragility

of the possibilities of losing

the simple life;

of what was

and what will never be.

perhaps this was once a possibility

the kinds of things we wished to forget

the songs you cant get out of your head

smile like it matters,

force a smile back.

what once was too deceiving,

now comes in white and black

what’s done is done,

you cant rewrite us

the pencils stopped working

and we’re magically back to the drawing board again

“happy birthday”

enjoy what’s left of the cake,

the ice cream,

and the frosting coated smiles

With just one misstep

we stumble

with another second

we all fall apart

yes…the improbability

of accounting for reality
