Luster

Luster

A Poem by EVERYTHINGyoucantelltoSTRANGERS
"

a little bit off what i usually do... kind of about summer's fragility... again, just a lose base at that...

"

Two sets of eyes

Similarly inclined for a day

The night taking either farther and farther

Away

Shooting daggers

Tearing silk

The remnants of curtains

Falling across the floor

The finale of idealism

Tangling itself

In the rips and the tatters

Of every broken dusk

The drawing in

Of the moth

To the flame

The wax dropping

Off the edge

Just as easily onto the table

Ignoring protesting

Fingertips

Immaterial rooftops

Handling the laurels

In their hair

Watching the raindrops

Frame

Summer’s twilight

In some twisted sense

Of  tonight’s

Paradoxical perfection
