Substantialism

Substantialism

A Poem by EVERYTHINGyoucantelltoSTRANGERS
"

just me venting about people....

"

the words can hardly form on my lips

i bite my tongue til i taste the salt

in the blood

i think it's a bit too soon.

to be back.

for me

that is

i'm sure anyone else

would be in the air already

jumping around

as it were

so i'm gonna start

looking for that switch

so i can turn you off

and drown you out

with the blood

rushing between my ears

i can't hear you

if i can't see you

maybe you can't

see me?

i haven't been looking for the longest time

maybe the wall's finally been put up

that would be nice

cause i need a blush to my cheeks

and maybe my eyes will glisten

with the thought of me not having to listen

to anything you have to say

it's time

i think

for me to pretend

that you don't exist

Oh how relatable this poem is...unfortunately =[ I liked the stanza that Kevin McKenna pointed out in your poem. There's just something about it that made me keep going back to read it. I also LOVED the last stanza. Thanks, yet again, for entering my contest!

I really like that part, a whole whole lot.
