The Heart of the Night

 

Just in my vision

In the vapor trail of a star,

The Night may flash

Her mysterious smile,

But I can't see that far.

 

I know she hides all my secrets

And my wishes never spoken...

And within her swim the shooting stars

And promises they've broken.

 

Her breeze reaches me

And kisses my cheek.

I feel her chill right through me.

The heart of the Night

May be warm for some,

But I can't bring it to me.
