Desire

Desire

A Poem by Kianna L. Bearden
"

What more needs to be said?

"
Your eyes
Dance
With an emotion I'm only beginning to understand
Your lips,
Curve
Into a smirk with a meaning that is lost to me
My soul,
Bare
Before you and yet, I've never felt safer
My body,
Yearning
For your touch, and bursting aflame when you touch me

Can you sense how much I
Love you?
Crave you?
You satiate me in a way
Words can barely begin to describe
A picture with no painter
Words with no paper

And yet
Your eyes,
Glint
In that teasing way
Your mouth,
Curves
Mischievously
Your hands,
Twitch
Dominating

I understand
We are the same
You and I
But, whereas I feel safe
You feel protective
Where I yearn
You give
Where I stumble
You catch me

Our desire is the same, but yet
Different
And that makes all the difference
