My Magical Lake

It's just a descrition of my time at the lakes. I've always enjoyed spending the time with family and friends. It is one of my favorite things about summer.

My reflection stares back at me as I look down.

I stare at my feet which I can see through the water.

Little minoes nibble at them thinking they're food.

Laughter fills the air.

People are splashing each other.

I love this place.

It's serene, beautiful, magical...

The sand runs through my fingers and reminds me of the times I used to make sand castles.

My imagination would run wild as I created a kindom full of princesses and their princes.

I'd put a shell at the top and dig a moat around it.

There was always water in the moat along with some of those minoes nibbling at my toes.

It's not as easy to get to that magical world as it used to be.

I'm afraid one day it will be gone.

I will be forced to live on a routine like the rest of world.

I don't want to lose this feeling.

I sit down and examine the beach.

My friends and I used explore here.

We'd pretend that it was special and that anything could happen.

Only we weren't pretending.

This place is special and always will be.

I love this lake.

It's a magical place.

Nice. I think many can relate to the idea of the beach being an extension of our childhood fantasy world. Those times are so real to us, and you captured it by dipping us into that world, but peppering it with concrete lakeside imagery. You wrote this like a poem, but it feels like it's on the verge of being something more (like a short story or journal entry). Really good stuff.
