Shackled by Darkness

I was given the title as my prompt

My chains bind me

In an unbreakable hold

It is only me to blame

I was, of course, told

 

It swallow me

Engulfs me in eternity

Here now and forever

Stuck with my sense of urgency

 

It scares me to think

Of the world unknown

But now I'm here

My ear filled with my own moan

 

The darkness is

The world of unknown

Of phobias and ignorance

The way out can only be shown

 

A world of ignorance

Where knowledge can't be harnessed

The forever battle left in my mind

Forever shackled by darkness
