The Counter Of Time

The Counter Of Time

A Poem by abderrahmane dakir

You want to count my age,

You are not kind to tell what I rage.

My skin and my hair turn a new page.

You are stronger to keep me in your cage.

What do you search?

You search to change my cast,

No one could play in the past,

Many years are gone so fast,

For me they were high cost.

Whether, I live in a joy or in pain,

You will separate me of them.

I see that I will leave one day,

And return to my mother in clay,

And, you will stand to see my die,

Before my soul will seep in the sky,

And all my loved one let me away,

That's I stayed all night to pray.

I'm not usually one for poetry but I actually really liked this!! The topic is great and the message is subtle but clear at the same time if that makes sense
