Alice's Return

Alice's Return

A Poem by Empty Spaces

I Recall you saw the fall through the window pane
Suggestive composure my loss of worry
A Complex in my audition
i'll tell the kids this in a bedtime story
But you told me to take it slow
so we won't think that far ahead
I believe you've left some beauty
But the side of my lonesome bed
you see,
I remember our past life
I'd walk you to class
All those questions
I was to afraid to ask
my senseless thoughts of never being good enough
your overwhelming desire to change that
now everything is doubtless
Alexa I think i love you....
I mean Alice

*FEELS ATTACK* THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST POEMS I'VE READ SO FAR.. It actually made me feel something, deep in my heart, (it's difficult to do, so feel special) and I think that's really what poetry is about.. Getting people to feel what you're feeling.
