A Symphony in the Ears of the LORD

Deck it with the largest choir

Have the most massive congregation

And all that hits the ears of our LORD

Is a din of self-indulged emotions

And to Him, it is pure noise

The experience can be life-changing

Emotions can overflow like waterfalls

But if you're feeding your own feelings

And not turning your eyes on Him

It is as the blender crunching up rocks

And to Him, it is harsher than Merzbow

Pure and undefiled worship before the LORD

Is a melody to His ears, and He is well pleased

Hearts turned towards His unchanging Self

Is the harmony that lilts Him with divine delight

The symphony to the LORD is true worship
