Broken Things

Broken Things

A Poem by G.A. Grim

She left with my fractured soul

And in its place an empty hole

Nothing left for which to amount

Only my tragic account

My fragile heart was left tattered

This world for me, was shattered

There are far too many pieces

That on a whim she just releases

The scraps I begin to collect

After my love she did reject

Oh why was I led astray

Let this be a dream, I pray

I did fight this nail and tooth

But it led me to this truth

For I alone am the king

Of every last broken thing

I felt the emotions in the words. When love die and the love is gone. We are left with accepting blame. I liked the flow of the words leading to the honest ending. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
