I Smoke Because I Like ItA Poem by MeganMy choices are mine alone, stop thinking that you've influenced me to do anything. The only thing you've influenced me to do at all was write this poem about how stupid you are.I'm not that impressive Leaving the wrong impression Like a partial thumbprint I'm not enough to make anything Trying to blend in In the morning A new creation, in the making I always begin again While you stand With all your stupid little friends Blowing down Fading out While my hands are in my pockets Playing with the pocket lint Fighting the urge To smoke my last cigarette Cause I'm angry I want to drive away and leave you here In the cold in the freezing wet Rain on my parade Cause you keep Playing me down Underestimating me Was your biggest mistake Rolling your eyes Cause I've made new bad habits Giving yourself credit For something you never did Like love me Or make me who I am today Making them believe You're the reason I've succeeded But I've made my own way The choices I've made Were never because of you They were because I wanted to try something new You're not that impressive Leaving the wrong impression Like a partial thumbprint You're not enough to make anything
