Paper Heart;

Paper Heart;

A Poem by C.

This week I have to pretend you don't exist
Because I don't know if I can take anymore of this
Your dirty hands turned my heart into dust
And my tears have turned my cheeks to rust

You play with matches around my paper heart
But you needed a light, so I set my heart on fire
And now the fire burns my bones
Though I'm no longer who you desire

Wow. This is a work of art. Such a great read. I like the concept. Our hearts in a way are like paper, and they can easily burn with hatred and rage

Ouch... The pain and love in here is strong. Once again I loved your work! :-D
