Bruises;

Bruises;

A Poem by C.

it's dark outside
but your bruises are darker
they burn in my skin
a constant reminder -
the air's getting thin
or maybe it's just my lungs -
giving out
your words repeat
repeat in my head
I love you
I love you
I love you
ha I lied
you're worthless
worthless
worthless trash
the bruises get darker
the sky gets lighter
the smoke from your cigarettes
fills my lungs
and I wish for it -
for it to suffocate me
