Mess;

Mess;

A Poem by C.

I’m fucked up but that’s fine
I can handle myself
But I can’t handle your mess
Tangled in your sheets, I’m tripping over
You’re too much stress
I told you: Just let me love you
I just wanted to love you
But you just wanted to screw me
Screw me over
So you said it’s over
When I spilled over
My tears onto your pillowcase
I’m done with this chase
I’ll never catch you
But I don’t even want to
I don’t even want you
It felt so right
But that was midnight
I’m trying to fight
My way out of your arms
But you’re stronger than me
Just let me go
I told you: Just let me leave you
I’m better than this mess
I’m better than the rest
But you don’t deserve my best

Very nice flow of thoughts dear Poet.
"I told you: Just let me leave you
I’m better than this mess
I’m better than the rest
But you don’t deserve my best"
I like the above lines. Honest and direct tone left a lot for the reader to ponder. Sometimes another weighted down person can take us down with them. Thank you C for sharing the excellent poetry.
