Rough It;

Rough It;

A Poem by C.

I’m destructive
You said
You’re always judging
I said
I don’t know what you’re talking ‘bout
And you never shut your f*****g mouth
Anymore I don’t even listen
Words always slur with the alcoholism
Always make me feel like I’m in a prison
But I’m stronger than you think
And I could be gone in a blink
Watching blood run down the sink
Wondering when the bruises will shrink
Tired of feeling
Tired of dealing with you
Tired of healing and then getting worse
I just wanna get better
But my eyes only get wetter
Tired of bad weather
Don’t think we should be together
But can’t have lightning
Without thunder
So I keep getting stuck under
You
And I love it
Don’t know why
Thought I was above it
But I guess I’ll rough it
With you
‘Cause I can’t get through it
Without you

It feels like the poet is dealing with a relationship in which she is not happy, she hates the pain she gets from that person but still can't get away from him as she has become used to stay with him... There is sad yet powerful tone in the poem which grips the whole poem... Quite excellently penned...

Sincerely
Dhiman
