Distant (Collaboration)

I wrote this with a friend a while back. It's short and not really that good, but it means a lot to me. I miss her.

Across this barren land of woe

She cries out to her unforgiving foe

And to whom that her cries seek

The man in which is her lovers peak

He hears, but cannot return her call

For he is trapped in a forsaken fall

One side wants future, the other past

But can't have either in this overcast

Such is distant love, never true

When instead of us, it's me and you.
