Standstill

Standstill

A Poem by Aramey

Intuition, a whisper, when we are most blind,
telling the secrets to minds so inclined
to listen... can you hear it's subtle chime?
or do you push it aside and favor silence, this time.

The winds of change are blowing, as they often do,
a clever adversary for those who plan to stand glued,
and as the ocean tides rise to meet, faithfully ensue,
for those who choose the ignorance of a standstill colored hue.
