Billy

This is about life overall

There once existed a boy named Billy,

Just turning 5, his imagination still silly,

He lives in gold and silver, with a rainbow at the end,

He lives with no idea how the colors are about to bend.

He lives with the aspirations to grow up to be like his mommy and daddy,

Billy is 16, living the throes of adolescence,

Now Billy hits the awkward stage of conscience,

Now Billy sees that the colors are so much more different,

Now Billy realizes rusted iron is being put in as silver is lifted,

And now Billy wishes to go back to his childhood oh so badly

Billy is now 19, a freshman in college, a whole new world of living,

Things are changing rapidly, things are uncontrollable,

Things are being placed as gold is found missing,

Things are now so unlike before that things are now untenable.

Now he hits the age of 40, his gold nor silver existing no more (except in his hair)

He will get none lest he does not pay for his child's college,

He will now see what his parents saw and realize he has come full circle as says the old adage,

And now he will yearn to be a student again.

Now Billy is 80, a ripe old age, a long life lived,

He lives with regrets of not doing more, tire from not doing less,

He lives with so much advice to give,

Although he may feel like his life was simply a mess,

And now Billy will miss childhood to midlife crisis, a time period made of all the banes of youngsters,

So you see, this is how ideology of people functions,

For age brings changes of yearning and desire,

From the time you are born to when you are defunct,

Change will happen, and many things you shall inquire,

So do not fear age, do not fear the future,

For at one point you wanted it, whereas you may no longer,

Because age also makes us so much stronger,

For age helps with things like how an injury can be fixed by a suture.
