Monster Inside

Monster Inside

A Poem by Abigail

It devoured her in whole

Consuming every bit of her.

It confused her and used her

Took all the good away.

Made it rain when it should have

shined.

It made her thoughts bad,

and her heart old.

It tormented her every single day

It wouldn't let her go.

The grasp was too tight,

The pain was too much.

“I can't do it anymore.”

She whispered as she opened

The precious orange bottle.

Counted out twelve and with one

Big swallow they were all gone.

And so was she.

It was all my fault,

I couldn't save her

From the monster inside.
