A publicized sports-charity event in Hong Kong involving the U.S. First Lady is threatened by a difficult terrorist named the Tarantula!

I somehow knew my last short-story would have something to do with soccer and terrorism...so here it is.

"This year in sports in the world, the First Lady of the U.S. (Melania Trump) has been linked to a new commerce-promoting sports initiative in Hong Kong involving the Italian soccer-gear/shoe company Diadora. This initiative, sponsored by Diadora and the First Lady, will invite beautiful fashion-models from Europe for an exhibition soccer-game on a new temporary soccer field constructed inside the impressive new Diadora skyscraper in Hong Kong. The women will be trained and outfitted for this televised exhibition game, and proceeds will go to the Diadora company's work with Third World countries in delivering resources and supplies during war or natural disasters. The First Lady commented she was excited to see who the recruited women would be, since actual members of the Italian national women's soccer team and Juventus club-team from Italy will be on-hand to train and coach the female players for the media-marketed sports-consumerism themed televised event for charity!"

"The female athletes will be uniformed in either Juventus-style black-and-white striped referee-aesthetics team uniforms or Italian national soccer team resembling solid blue uniforms. The two teams divided among the fashion-model participants will be called the Capitalists and the Dreamers. The First Lady remarked that the game will deliver the message that modern-day commerce can be a vehicle for values-driven lifestyle and help people of the world not take the amenities of capitalism for granted! U.S. President Donald Trump remarked that he was impressed the First Lady was taking an active role suddenly in new-era capitalism diarism. This event will be well-documented."

"The new Diadora skyscraper in Hong Kong is quite impressive. It is a full-glass building and its interiors are very spacious and modernly styled and designed by professional architects and interiors-specialists! The skyscraper is wide enough and roomy enough to accommodate the plan for the interior built temporary indoor-field where the Capitalists and Dreamers will play out their competitive game on Hong Kong TV. This game will be available on cable-TV On-Demand to consumers around the world, and since the event was hyped in TIME magazine in America, Diadora, investors, sports-fans, and critics are predicting a handsome rating and intriguing marketing branches for this sports-and-values oriented international event!"

"Security will be tight, since the U.S. President himself remarked that the high-profile participation of the American First Lady just might tempt anti-capitalist terrorists from creating some kind of very undesirable distraction for television time! Therefore, the world intelligence branches are ensuring the very best kinds of specialists and agents are assigned to determine what kinds of anti-terrorism securities are required so the First Lady and the athletes and fans inside the Diadora skyscraper are in no way threatened by the very real modern presence of 'ungodly' terrorists such as Cobra, ISIS, and Denares."

"It has become known that a radical Italian-born terrorist named the 'Tarantula' who is linked to Cobra somehow has delivered a threatening terrorist message to the Diadora company, claiming that the First Lady endorsed soccer-charity TV event in Hong Kong will no doubt be a ploy to hype new age capitalism propaganda. In fact, the Tarantula has promised a terrible 'distraction' during the televised Diadora indoor soccer game and warned consumers around the world that the First Lady may be in for the shock of her life. Will security forces be able to downplay the divisive Tarantula?"

"Fortunately, to retort to this glaring insult to new age commerce, the Fisher-Price toy company has jumped on-board this pro-capitalism media event by co-signing a contract with Diadora to supply kids watching the game inside the Diadora skyscraper with water machine-guns. These guns will be fired towards targets aligned along the interior-walls of the indoor soccer field in the Diadora skyscraper. The interior-walls will contain rows of water receptacles, and the kids with the machine-guns will fire at the targets during the televised game while the female fashion-model athletes play their competitive game wearing their colorful team-uniforms! The purpose of this added circus-like visual display of commercial excitement for the charity-themed world-sports event in Hong Kong will serve to remind consumers around the world that the Tarantula can not subvert the basic democratic paradigm."

"Furthermore, the Diadora company will proudly display its new stylish line of colored lifestyle-sneaker in a museum-like exhibition room inside the Diadora skyscraper during the game. Visitors may take photographs of the iconic new market sneakers while the main event, the game between the Capitalists and the Dreamers, is being played out in the indoor soccer field! If the Tarantula terrorist threatens this sort of overt capitalist media activity during a televised event, U.S. President Donald Trump has declared that he just might order his forces to spread out across the globe in a determined and relentless action to simply extinguish the final vestiges of anti-capitalism dogma in the modern world."

"This just in --- the televised game in the Diadora skyscraper in Hong Kong on Sunday morning, July 11, 2020, went without a hitch, and the ratings went through the roof! The First Lady was cheering as the Capitalists defeated the Dreamers (both well-coached teams!) by an exciting score of 3-2. The kids were playing and showing-off their Fisher-Price water-guns for the TV cameras, and spectators were admiring the displayed new Diadora sneakers. All the proceeds were going to charities in the Third World. However, after the event concluded, the terrorist Tarantula infiltrated the skyscraper and set off an explosive. This too was televised. Ironically, no one was hurt, since the building was mostly empty at the time of the attack, and U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted he was most relieved the First Lady had long-exited."

DIADORA: We're pleased with the event since no one was harmed.

CNN: The Tarantula attacked the skyscraper in Hong Kong anyway!

DIADORA: Sure; you just can't stop new age terrorists with simple tactics.
CNN: At least all the event participants were safe.

DIADORA: Yes, the Tarantula attacked only after the event concluded.
CNN: He still evades the police and world intelligence agents!

DIADORA: True; we're also now reconstructing our building in Hong Kong.
CNN: This terrorist activity somehow 'spiced' up the media event, no?

DIADORA: Ironically, yes, but this is not the kind of 'spice' we buy now.

CNN: Sure; 9/11 frightened everyone about the threat of wrath.

DIADORA: Modern media is 'energized' by dramatic stories, so it's understandable.
CNN: How will this impact the overall philosophy of the Diadora company?

DIADORA: We're still devoted to global commerce and work with media!

CNN: Excellent; American President Donald Trump has promised extra securities.

DIADORA: Hopefully, American intelligence will nab the mean Tarantula.
CNN: Thanks for this capitalism 'deadline' interview.
