Richard/Gloucester

Richard/Gloucester

A Story by Abishai100
"

Mod-adaptation of the Shakespearean tale of evil ascension and corrupted daydreams leading to 'potential' hideouts.

"
A fun adaptation of the great play Richard III (Shakespeare). Thanks for reading!

RICHARD OF GLOUCESTER: To cast my visage of eschewed eyes upon my fate and those who surround it, now, for this chance-hand at usurping the kingdom in this winter of unhappiness (Jersey) where I find no chance in sharing this misery with others on social-media but perhaps may find a 'diagram' while engaged with a college 'buddy' on Facebook-chess (ha).

Richard, an evil man of great ambition but restricted upward mobility, promptly had his elder-in-line for the monarchy in Gloucester, Hamilton, killed by a gargoyle, and then erased his existence and 'persuaded' his fair fiancee (Ezzy) to become his fair queen and then take the ascension for the outlines of what would be a Jersey 'devil' tale of ambition and conquest, and it would stand to reason someone might take the 'wind' to challenge this bad conquest to save the 'face' of social-media culture (why not?).

CLARENCE: An 'alien-invader' sci-fi media-themed chess-set, Richard?
RICHARD: Of course, Clarence cousin; this is stalemate-wit(s) for Jersey-ghosts.
CLARENCE: If I lose, Richard, you schemer?
RICHARD: Vanish...from America(s)...become a 'man' of Euro-chess!
CLARENCE: Alright, you schemer cousin (wow).

After 'exiling' the noblest debater/challenger to Richard's 'stranger' ascension to Gloucester kingdom (cousin Clarence) following the 'disappearance' of Richard's wiser/kinder elder/brother (Hamilton), Richard of Gloucester had promptly sought a special 'examination' of Wall Street (Ford) fortune-hand in the new America of post-9/11 era traffic-confidence and 'schemes' and would cast himself (on social-media!) as a 'cinema-market-culture' investor or 'face' in the crowd of modern Western hyperbole (for all!).

SON: You love Ezzy (mother), uncle?
RICHARD: You may (begin) to 'refer' to me as 'father' now, Son.
SON: You've won so much...since Hamilton's vanished, Richard-dad.
RICHARD: Excellence; this Madden football 'treasure' gift shall earn your heart.
SON: I love it, Richard-dad.
RICHARD: Great; perhaps no one can (now) 'destroy' our American pride.

However, someone did. Someone from Richard of Gloucester's troubles/past, a man from an Euro-exchange during Richard's private/student investments (online) through a 'Dartmouth-Jersey' expo for sports-trade cards and autos (cars) who resolved to expose this social-media poster as a simple madman of the fortune's certain highlights. This 'hero' in this tale, is Marcus Raki, who shared Richard's bare-skin Selfie, declaring it to be a 'hologram' for the nature of Western handshakes (gone 'red' for all).

HERO: Gloucester's right and hip; for Richard's spirit's exercised, and perhaps I'll 'exercise' this new free-spirit journey discovery/trophy with a caring 'jog' in this town of otherwise 'American Dream' handshakes (for all) --- without 'true' regret (for all).

How'd the world remember a 'monarch' like Richard of Gloucester, a man of deformed consciousness/brains, whose 'dark ascension' linked to the vanishing (bloody-murder) of Hamilton and the exile of kind cousin Clarence, led to a 'stranger form' for the evaluation of all that had become masked/veiled 'personality' in American social-media/traffic culture and finance/wealth chat in the post-9/11 era --- a signature-mark for the 'faces' of United States handhelds (ha).

"Doing well is the result of doing good. That's what capitalism is all about" (Ralph Waldo Emerson).
