Sera

Sera

A Poem by Adelise Eclair
"

is very selfish

"
	Sera

Behind these cobble stones of pallid white...
Blooms a silver little flower....
That lives through shards of broken light...
Within this forgotten tower....

My sorrows are sung through lost voices
Of a past from long ago...
It leaves me with mocked out choices...
burying me beneath snow...

I call out...in vain...
This unending pain...
It tears me apart....
My fading heart.....

My mother smiles so very sad....
Is it because I've been bad?
Wishing for things...like happiness and light...
Or to continue living out this broken life?
Mother...
I only wish that you would smile...
Even if it was only for a while...

For father who holds you in his arms....
his love that keeps away all harms....
why do your eyes look so sad?
It is because I've been bad?
Wishing for things like happiness and light?
Or to continue living out this broken life?
