On Angel's Wings

On Angel's Wings

A Poem by Correspondence

I flew alongside you,
Clothed in angel's wings

Streaming behind me
Glowing

Catching the sun's gleam,
A raven shining brilliantly

You too were an angel,
And I fell for you

I followed you to heaven
Our wonderful expanse of secrecy
You took me upon the clouds,
A constant cover of illusion

And I told you

I love you

You didn't know what to do
But you didn't want my heart

Never realized you Fell,
Suffer in Hell

You liar,
Deceiver

Slipped on reality
And I tumbled down below

Now I fell for you

Ripped out my wings
Tears now stream
Plummet as I scream

How ironic
I take your fall,

Just before I, too, end it all
