# DISTRACTION

it's always not necessary that the other one will love you in the same way as you do......sometimes they might feel different about you and sometimes it gets hard to accept that fact...

You were all messed up and fucked up,

the first time I had seen you......

I saw you,

 despite being in the pool of troubles and ghosts of past

I fell for you.....

You wore blue sweatshirt everyday,

me, my life and my heart; all were black and void......

and use to take solace in the dark night!!

But yet,

everyday, in the crowd, I would search 

for the same color; my blue 

and 

even the slight sight of it would give me comfort...

Your past was hidden,

has been bright or dark .......

nobody knew...

But,

ghosts of my past, who have been 

haunting for years left me,

when they saw you 

and so,

I couldn't help but fall for you...

In return,

      all I was for you......

      was DISTRACTION........

Yes, I guess we meet people for a reason and, as someone points out here, they all cannot stay by our side forever, for some are just passengers on this journey of life. We all learn from one another on this journey. But you cannot allow yourself to be mistreated for so long and then accept it as love.
Anybody that find pleasure in your pain is not good company in your life. Get away from such toxic people who like to project their negative vibes on others.
We are all on this Earth to love one another, even through a simple smile.

Sometimes we need to be someone’s distraction for both parties to learn and grow- meeting someone is never not for a reason- it’s all meant to be for a lesson or a blessing- it’s best at times that we are just a distraction as it wouldn’t have been worth anything else- life is like a River never passes over same spot twice- need to take and learn from each encounter- deep and meaningful- this too shall pass🌹

In life everyone doesn't come in just to stay by our side forever
Every person nd moment is momentarily
But in someone's life full of scars, if you are adding another without trying to see through.....then it's no good
And that's what i learnt from it; love doesn't exist (even if it does ,then surely not for me unfortunately) nd neither anyone every gonna stay by ypur side or never will they accept you and your dark past
But there are few rare gems who does that.....but i haven't been that lucky.....

Your life observations are quite straightforward & relatable which makes your writing interesting & compelling. I think you could stretch a little bit more in a few places, such as the opening sentiments: "messed up" and "fucked up" -- even tho realistic, as a writer it's always a good challenge to try to say ordinary things in a more original & multi-layered way. The best aspect of this story in a poem is the blue sweatshirt, as it can symbolize anything about another person that we immediately identify with & which we think of, when thinking of this person. It's good the way you did this by showing instead of telling. The other thing I really like is the ending, becuz love & everyday attractions are always lopsided & often not fair. You state this without whining -- it is what it is. I like that way of showing life to be a b***h, but not whining about it. (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Well all of my works are since my own story
So I sometimes in flow get lost in my own way of telling things that's why sometimes I don't see that there can be other better for portraying the same thing.....however thanks allot for your advice and for taking out your time review my poem.....ND yeah u can complain to some extent but then you , yourself get tired of complaing and either start to accept the way it is or sart to go with it but yet giving an eye shot saying "REMEMBER I HAVEN'T FULLY GIVEN IN".....
ND I agree with u that today you will hardly find anyone who understands the difference between like and love....both are completely two different things....for one date ....I think he or she should understand that....ND other person shouldn't mock at other's love towards them....

There is a beautiful agony here, the hauntings, the ghosts of life pulling you into the darkest places of you, and the blue world of wanting. Distraction, how that thought in you is a novel by itself.

Well I agree but the thing is that over here girl hasn't termed her love towards him as distraction but Ray of hope....a new beinging for her but boy on the other hand (self centered or u can say ignorant of her past ND present) terms her love as distraction.......
Which I think is truly unfair....
Love ND work ND for that matter study are completely different things ....it depends upon person how he or she takes it....

Well maybe, but I don't have any and when I for the very first time fell in love with someone in 17 years of life...that person termed me as distraction.... Btw thanks a lot fir stopping by and sharing your idea..... :)

Don’t let it bother you. At your age, girls mature much faster than boys. Give it some time, enjoy your youth. There’s plenty of time to get serious in a few years once you see how long it takes for guys to actually mature. For most guys it’s somewhere between the age of 21 - 65 :)
