a feast over death

a feast over death

A Poem by alan khan

" alas poor brothers.
my brothers in danger.

we've lost a soul of ours, a soul escaped from darkness, a soul escaped from night.
journeyed fro this mystery. journeyed over to light.

and when he arrived he did as many did. he longed for our grime and muck.
could not understand comfort, found only guilt in his luck.

mindlessly going about the routine. he suffered through contentedness.
each time he was granted more peace, he requested less.

struck with memories of past however
he turned away further from the night.
he then found nothing at all was possible.
he may as well have been robbed of sight.

as he slowed his pacing, time's healing took effect.
that b*****d used to be monster found peace and stability.

but submit to this my daemons this story has a happy ending.

because it was at this point chance struck, as
sins that were not his own called out to his demise.

witnessed only by one whom loved touched,
he was removed from amongst the living.

and so dear brothers. let us feast to him being gone.
a soul lost from our night, before he was able to fully see the dawn.

a toast!

no matter the peace you have found.
no matter how far you may be from our slime.
for some their unraveling is inevitable.
it is always just a question of time.

for a curse is a curse,
however invisible or assumed.
it is placed on they by none other
but their own imagined doom.

give thanks to tragedy and it's chaotic variables. how truly unfair the mortal realm can be for it's inhabitants! cheers! "
