cast a spell

cast a spell

A Story by alan khan

the magic behind magic is not the journeys to neighboring dimensions or the wisdom that is granted from dabbling in the secrets of the universe. the true art in magic is casting a spell over another. enchanting another conscious being in some form.
sometimes however,

i just want to write.

about nothing at all in particular,

no great message i have to convey
no real meaning behind my words.

i just want to play around with these words.
enchant myself with the forming of letters.

writers all judge themselves differently,

most have a pretentious self entitlement
to hold themselves up into artists esteem.

believing themselves to be men or women of importance, simply because of their passions.

writing is writing
words are words

we are writers, i believe, because we thrive on the
magic behind words.

be it story
jounral,
poem

what f*****g have you,

we are prey to words.

and as much as i hate saying all that
it's true.

some of what i say has purpose, if it reads as such.
but generally i enjoy reading my words back to me, just to hear their song in my head..

tis just me liking how i can manipulate words to somewhat resemble
beauty.
