Common Told Story

Common Told Story

A Poem by Alani
"

A collaboration with Willweb

"

Placed back on the shelf

along with other volumes of dust collectors,

hidden between determined bookends

Smudged dialogue between forgotten lovers

Age old romance reinvented through a fresh pen

All too common outcome of pain

Questioning the many pages turned

bringing each sad chapter to a close

on yellowed paper, aged and confused

Misread contents, repeated over time

Tales of trodden paths and unspoken words

fixed by disapproving eyes and stale opinion

With beginnings come endings,

stories printed in heart drenched ink

fading between the covers

thin pages cuddled by ripped newspaper bookmarks

traced outline of today's reports as if a parallel universe

the same old story told in modern day tales

Final sentences forgo happily ever after,

no sunset to stroll hand in hand towards,

only an anticipated, “The End” in bold script…period

"With beginnings come endings,

These sophisticated lines make me realize how sensitive a heart is and how bold the "MINDS" are ... across the whole world. Sometimes, your stuffs work like the frosty winds which move toward (s) the hovering storms ~~ "The storms of peace" making my heart beats fast with the emotions of yous. Once again, I find an ocean of your sensations in your words ~~ whose fathom/volume`s not meant to be known, It`s an excellent job. You`re oneself a cold touch of all the salted winds which touch my face with the fragility your wings in disguises of your poetic words.

Congratulations!
