A Rainy Day

Rainy days are a sight to see

With darkened skies you're kept inside

Gazing out the window, you watch it fall

A good book in your lap the rain so soothing

Sometimes in buckets, some times in sprinkles

Curled upon the couch you're want to dream

A gentle laugh turns your head away

One questioning look and you smile in turn

The one you love sits by your side

Hand in hand you watch it rain

Rainy days are a sight to see

Even better with it shared together

Rainy days were made for thee

Gazing out the window, raising coffee mug in a toast... here's to rainy days... and the one I love... and vacant pillows... and meals for one... and damn... thanks for reminding me, Albert! haha... nice job, my friend.

I absolutely love rainy days, and curling up on the couch with a good book .... and significant other when applicable. lol

I liked the flow and structure of this poem.. but its content is what I really enjoyed :) It took me there.... and I haven't been there in awhile.

Wow. thanks....

Excellent.

I really like this one, Albert. You've done a very nice job with it. Rainy days are a good subject to write about, aren't they?
