The Damned Souls

The Damned Souls

A Poem by Carol

I am a non existent human being.

I live for the love and affection,

But crave for the hatred.

I am sad, pathetic, worthless.

But yet, I am amazing, beautiful, and a treasure

To those who care to see it.

So, I wish for you to take me into your hands

And release me into the arms of your angel.

For I am a goddess among the damned souls,

Haunting the loved of the wretched.

Snatching up those who have wronged up.

To the majestic heavens dancing beyond the skies

and dragging those who have been wronged down.

To the burning hells of the merciless.

Because even forgiveness can turn our monsters to heroes,

And our heroes to monsters.

Sending them teetering on the edge of a dark abyss,

Leading to my soul,

Chilling my heart to the core.

With you forever praying to an imaginary god

That has better things to do than pay attention to a sinful person

Who only calls to him when they are unable to get their way.

So throw a tantrum.

Go ahead and cry,

For no one will hear

As my animalistic laugh drowns you out.

As your screams are covered

By the joyful cries of people

Who don’t even care enough to glance your way.
