Tempted

Tempted

A Poem by Alice In Wonderland

Is it in your eyes?
It is your lips?
Is it your hair, face, or grin?
I'm tempted by you.
All of you.
Your body, mind and spirit.
In your arms I am complete,
depression melts away,
and I feel alive again.
My heart throbs when you speak my name,
My brain goes off the rails,
and the rest of me.
Well, that is just speechless,
motionless,
thoughtless.
Because around you
I am in the grace of perfection
I am tempted,
so tempted
to tell you everything
and yet I say nothing.
No movement toward you until
the chance could pass by.
Tell me you feel the same,
something,
say my name if you must,
just something.
For I have fear my heart will bust.
