Murder of Self Worth

Murder of Self Worth

A Poem by Alice In Wonderland

This mirror I stare at,
glare at,
why does it mock me?
Point out my flaws,
and show my claws,

I see beyond the surface,
I see the demons inside,
The way they cut and taunt me,
Everything I hate about myself,
My fear, my anxiety, my weakness.

The demons cut me down,
Like a blade with a thirst for pain,
Swinging slowly and sawing away,
At the little hope of everything,
In this place demons are gods,
and I will forevermore be captive.

Captive to my fears, my shame, and my emotions,
I can not win this fight,
and they shall rule this night.
