Storm

Storm

A Poem by Star Cross
"

.

"

What will happen if this feeling ends?
Will I be back in my box?
Will someone open the lid once again?
I think I can finally breathe.

I can feel the wind brush against my fingertips,
And the gleaming sun upon me.
For once,
I am alive.
I want this to last.

Let me have my moment of ecstasy,
The drug will eventually wear off.
The first high from the first try.
We all know what that is like.
Once it's gone,
It cannot be regained.

Now it has found us, like I have found you.

I particularly loved this stanza. A wonderful poem and I loved the ending too!
