I Smile

I smile because you once were mine,

We were as happy as could ever be.

I smile because you made me shine,

Being together filled my heart with glee.

 

I smile because we had our time,

We were perfect, that's all that counts.

I smile because it was worth every dime.

Your love filled my body with every ounce.

 

I smile because our memories won't fade,

I'll hold onto them for as long as I live.

I smile because for each other, we were made,

But it was our time, and to time we give.
