SCORCHHOUSE

SCORCHHOUSE

A Poem by Alpris

SCORCHHOUSE

laced passion fruit vine
slathered across
                the peaks of my pores

orange waterfalled acrylic
leaking through
                      the frame’s ceiling

warm glow fascinated
                              eager bones
i tend to keep an eye on the fire
to make sure
            it doesn’t spread

giggling sofa encased
                                    tonnes of bums
heated inside,
          dying inside

Intricate details and dark, vivid imagery... love how it's laid out, well penned indeed :)
