Night Fight

Night Fight

A Poem by Alpris

The moon seems to have lost its memory

and its light crawls into my lap

for comfort, I cradle it slowly

the stars seem to have lost their way

mere smudges of what used to be

I can't quite figure out what is wrong with the night

because it's charcoal, and not black

but its blue, not charcoal

it's black and blue, but there is no shine.

I'm still rocking the moonlight

back and forth, back and forth

until its all black for me

the sun's eyes flutter open

but I am not awake to see

I live for the fight

                   for the fight

                               for the night.

This is very fascinating : just the idea and the words, the feelings that flow ! Very nice.

.................good lines dear, I like the flow of your thought towards the night and your determination of approach. My best wishes with regards.
